Katerina–Maria Periali has a long-standing involvement in Greek traditional dance, having participated in festivals and performances both in Greece and abroad and is teaching Traditional dance in Acro n' Twist.

Short Biography
Periali Katerina–Maria is a graduate of the Midwifery Department of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens. She was born and raised in Athens, with family origins in Galini, Naxos on her father’s side and Asia Minor roots on her mother’s side.

Her Connection to Traditional Dance
Her involvement with Greek traditional dance began at a young age. With traditional music being part of her everyday life, she started attending classes in local cultural associations. Throughout this journey, she participated in dance festivals and performances in Greece and abroad.

Music & Traditional Instruments
As she grew older, her love for tradition also led her to music. She began learning and playing traditional percussion instruments such as:

At the same time, she took part in traditional singing choirs.

Her Goal
Her goal is to travel across Greece, to experience firsthand the customs, celebrations, dances, and songs of each region, and to pass them on to her students as authentically as possible.
She deeply believes that tradition remains alive and wishes to contribute to its continuation from generation to generation, with respect and love.
